Live Performances

In an auditorium or gymnasium, where space allows, a whole team of dancers can give a Lindy Hop performance complete with intricate footwork, crazy kicks, and flips. Where space is more limited, such as in a single classroom a dance couple can give a performance. Our routines include:

  • Lindy Hop
  • East Coast Swing
  • Charleston (partnered or solo)
  • Famous line dances of the 30s & 40s

Historical Talk

Oral History

Lindy Hop is an ideal subject matter for Black History Month, physical fitness presentations, or just because. Its astounding past goes hand and hand with many of the major historical milestones in America: the Great Depression, Prohibition, World War II, and segregation.

Vintage Film Clips

Where Audio Visual equipment is available, The Lindy Project can supplement our historical presentation with vintage clips of Lindy Hop, Tap, Charleston and vernacular jazz, including what has been deemed the most spectacular Lindy Hop choreography ever caught on film, "Hellzapoppin," featuring the famous Whitey's Lindy Hoppers.

Additional Packages

  • Assistance with choreography for dance & musical theater
  • After school dance programs
  • In-School classes, complete with syllabus and grades

Discount on Regular TLP Classes

If setting a presentation or series of classes seems too time sensitive for your school, your students also have access to the regular TLP Classes. At these classes, they will learn the basic movements of Lindy Hop and Charleston as well as a small portion of the historical significance of Lindy Hop.

Your students will be able to take advantage of our generous student discount ($30 per month instead of $45). They will also be supplied with a grade based on attendance and how well they absorb the material from our classes
