WOMBAT! GIVE HUG!
Emily the problem solver. When Emily was in 3rd grade she would catch bugs and give them rides in her remote control cars. Unfortunately, they did not like to stay in these cars. Even worse, the cars were not up to current safety requirements and were not made with seatbelts. Emily resolved this issue by removing the offending limbs that allowed such risky behavior - for their own protection of course. (Don't worry, we haven't seen her do this to a single student.)
Emily the spatula. Oh, no, wait, that is the word she said she doesn't want used to describe her dancing. She prefers the fictional word “heterolugubrious.”
Emily the poet. She has romantic feelings for the "and" in the dance. Emily says, "Ou relationship requires a lot of patience and is based on waiting. Waiting and waiting; I scream out "where are you and?" And would finally respond with a poetic pause. Fullfillment! She has constructed the following poem for her love:
And is an awesome count
if i could choose any count to mount
it would be A - N - D
that's one bad mother
like Shaft
definately not Taft
who got stuck in his bathtub.
Emily the child. Her first memory of dancing was in utero.
Emily the songstress. She says if a song were about her, it would be named simply, "Emily is the most awesome person in the whole wide world OhMyGod YesSheIs!" Her favorite song is "Muskrat Love." (We think this song may secretly be about her too.) Her favorite jazz singers are Lou Rawls and Ella Fitzgerald. She is also a huge fan of Bob Dylan.
Emily the leader. When asked her favorite things about our dance scene she said she loves the community (and the ninjas).
Emily the motivational speaker. And finally, here is her advice for new dancers:
