The Lindy Project

Austin Lindy Exchange!

November 20th – 23rd

Every November, Austin throws a party and invites… the world! And the world responds. We have people coming from all over the US. Come dance the night away. It’s a great way to get a ton of practice, meet new people, and get exposed to different styles of Lindy Hop done across the country.

  • 4 nights of dancing until the wee hours of the night
  • People coming from all around the country to dance in our lovely ballroom to our lovely musicians and with our lovely dancers
  • A RIDICULOUS number of live bands

It is a serious party. Check it out, because you won’t want to miss it!

Advanced Variations Elective

Spice up the Conversation

Says Laura: One of the reasons why I love lindy hop is how it allows you to maintain your individuality as you negotiate with a partner. It is an almost an ideal situation where you can hear the thoughts of another person as you express your own.

We’ll work on that relationship in this class.

Bon voyage, Scott & Kelly!

This month, Scott Angelius, founder, co-owner and instructor at The Lindy Project, is moving to Knoxville, TN. As sad as this is for TLP, the Austin scene and his friends here at home, it’s a happy time for Scott. He’s getting married to the lovely and talented Kelly Arsenault, and they are moving close to her family where they will dance, be happy and be as much a boon to the Knoxville community as they were to Austin. Knoxville, you lucky guys!!

Scott, you’ve been a great mentor, teacher, team member, dancer and friend. Your passion for the students, for Austin, and for Lindy Hop has changed the Austin scene, and the dancing of everyone in it. We can never thank you enough.
