Level I

Lindy, Swing, & Charleston
2 months, Wednesdays 7:30pm and Mondays 6:30pm

In this beginner-level class you will learn the basic movements of Lindy, Swing, and Charleston. Getting the moves down perfectly is not what it's all about here. We want you to become comfortable with the basic rhythms and get the knack of lead & follow. After this class, you should feel comfortable shaking it on the dance floor.

Series A
Basics of Swing & Charleston.

 

Series B
Fundamentals to Lindy Hop.

Prerequisites - No previous dance experience required; you can start at the beginning of either month.

Level II

Lindy Hop moves & more
3 months, Wednesdays 8:45pm and Mondays 7:30pm

Focusing on building repretoire, we teach new patterns of Lindy, Charleston, and Swing and how to incorporate them as one rockin' dance: Lindy Hop. At the end of this level, you will feel confident in your rhythms, patterns, and styling.

Series A
Focus on 8-count and 6-count.

 

Series B
Focus on 8-count and Charleston.

 

Series C
Focus on 8-count and Tandem.

Prerequisites - Completed Level I or should already be familiar with the rhythms of Lindy, Swing, and Charleston and should have a solid grasp of the "beat" in the music.

Level III

Musicality and Connection
4 months, Wednesdays 7:30pm

Each month we focus on different connection, body movement, and musicality aspects that take what you've learned in Levels I and II and really make them shine!

Prerequisites - Completed Level II or should already be able to lead and/or follow the various movements from Level I and II as well as integrate a variety of rhythms.

Level IV

Ongoing, Wednesdays 8:45pm

Each month we offer an advanced series covering a different topic. These classes are designed to push both Intermediate & Advanced dancers - i.e. classes will be challenging.

Prerequisites - Completed Level III. Experience is required. Approval by a teacher is required.

Workshop

Ongoing, Mondays 8:30pm

Each month we offer an intermediate-advanced workshop series covering different topics.

Prerequisites - Completed Level II or should already be able to lead and/or follow the various movements from Level I and II as well as integrate a variety of rhythms.
